Risk Investigations

CES has assisted numerous private companies and law firms in assessing the risks involved with some action such as an acquisition, a key personnel hire, movement of assets into or from a location. We are experts in due diligence investigations and trade secret matters.

Our assessments have uncovered active insider threats within the organizations which included theft of proprietary data, theft of trade secrets, misappropriated customer lists, internal thefts, leaking of confidential company information to public and competitors, and misuse of company resources for criminal and personal gain.

In one investigation into the risks associated with a federal bid teaming agreement CES determined that one of the four team partners was actually a con man who was attempting to scam the other three companies out of millions of dollars in business development funds.
