Job Description Summary:
The two labor categories: Program Manager and two Field Program Managers, will provide
management, administration, and technical interface with Government personnel in the daily
performance of the contract. The Program Manager will be located on-site within the Diversion Control Division at the US Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Headquarters in Arlington, VA. The two (2) Field Program Managers may be located at DEA Field Office locations to be determined. These positions will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contract to include day-to-day coordination of project activities, client interaction, workload management, contract compliance and technical interface with Government personnel in the daily performance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Management and direction of day-to-day activities relative to the program’s performance, personnel management, and client contact
Provide status reports to the COR and other government officials, as requested, relevant to program objectives and requirements
Monitor the contract to ensure that all tasks are being properly executed
Provide suggestions for process and program improvements to the government client, when applicable
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies when applicable
Respond to requests from the COR in a timely manner
Confirm that all employees meet qualifications and requirements for the labor categories under which they are assigned
Ensure that employees perform the work efficiently and within required timelines
Ensure that other key personnel assigned perform all relevant tasks to include document reviews, analysis of data, on-line data entry support, coordinate revisions to user documentation, and maintain files and records, as required
Conduct staff meetings on program matters to include changes in procedures and policies, workload, quality and concerns with work products, and employee relations matters
Management of time and attendance, ensuring that reporting is accurate and compliant and providing reports as requested
Required qualifications/skills:
Bachelor’s degree
Requires a minimum of 10 years of program management experience and comprehensive understanding of the applicable programs and associated industry
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with contract management, with a proven record of identifying and meeting contract deliverables
Proven success in planning, management and leadership, financial, and operational skills combined with the ability to develop and implement changes to achieve desired objectives
Preferred:
Prior DEA management experience
